In the run-up to Pakistan’s 2013 national elections, international and Pakistani journalists launched a project to hold politicians accountable. They produced Truth Tracker, an online platform for fact-checking statements and tracking fulfillment of promises by elected officials.

After a year of reporting, Truth Tracker evolved into News Lens Pakistan, a new cooperative with a broader mission to report in-depth on government accountability, security, economic development and human rights.

News Lens retained the Truth Tracker brand as a fortnightly magazine. Verista supports the magazine by offering a way for U.S. donors to make tax-deductible contributions.
