Verista’s mission is to support the education and development of individual visual artists.
Our activities are to provide training, materials, facilities, and financial and technical support for artists to explore or develop their skills, with special emphasis on artists working in three-dimensional media, collaborative and therapeutic modalities, and the use of post-consumer materials.
Our vision has always been to amplify a multitude of voices so that deeper truths emerge. Verista’s reorganization in 2019 narrowed the focus to visual arts.
Verista’s current project is support for the development of a center for glass artists in honor of Charles Holden, in Decatur, GA. The studio will provide space for workshops, collaboration and individual projects.
Verista also is researching ways to bring together students and adults as they create and exhibit art made from post-consumer materials.
